Family Faith Formation Night:

An evening for the whole family to deepen your faith and spend time with other families.

  • One Wednesday a month from 5:30 – 7:30 pm

My Child Is 1st Through 6th and Needs Sacramental Prep

Register your son or daughter for our Family Formation Program!

  • We meet once a month on a Monday evening. 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. The parents will meet in the parish center while the children are in class. This is for both student and parent. Parents are REQUIRED to attend parent sessions!! 

If your child needs Baptism, First Communion, and/or Confirmation, please register for the appropriate Sacrament prep session.

What happens the rest of the month? 

  • Each family will be given a packet of materials with lessons for each week.
    • Communion Year 1 – parents will receive a packet
    • Communion Year 2 – students will have online work to complete for the Signs of Grace, Confession and First Communion courses.
  • You will be equipped with everything you need to teach your child. This should take you about an hour to complete. 
  • You pick the day and time that works best for your family to sit down together and go over the lesson. 
  • Additional Requirements: Parent Sacrament Meetings, Retreats and Rehearsals.

OCIC Middle and High School Additional
Sacramental Prep

For the unbaptized youth and/or youth who missed First Communion and/or 8th -grade Confirmation.
Youth meet twice a month on Wednesdays
5:30–7:00 PM in the Hall of Saints.

IN ADDITION to the Monday evening Confirmation Prep sessions.
Additional sessions are required in the year they receive the sacraments.
This is for both student and parent. Parents are REQUIRED to attend parent sessions!!  

SACRAMENTAL PREP – ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS

Catholic school students must register in 2nd, 7th, and 8th grade for our Sacrament Prep program. No tuition is owed but Sacramental fees do apply.

First Communion Students Year 1 and Year 2

Once a month, parents and children have sessions, Mondays 5:30 -7:00 PM with monthly home lessons.
Ages 6 and up. For the baptized, or unbaptized children who missed 2nd grade.

Along with the 1st-6th portion above, you will have the following:

  • Weekly lesson in Reconciliation book and second half of year Communion
  • Attend sacrament meeting for parents. One meeting in the fall and one in early spring
  • Attend sacrament retreats.
  • Submit to us by December 1 your child’s baptismal certificate. 

My Child Needs an Adaptive Learning Program
Will meet twice a month – Wednesdays at 5:30-7:00 PM

WHO SHOULD REGISTER FOR THIS PROGRAM

  • Any school age child who needs a program tailored to their type of learning needs.
  • This is a multisensory program
  • Does your child have autism, ADHD, visual or hearing impairment, any type of developmental delay? 
  • Does your child learn better in a smaller, quieter environment?
  • If your child hasn’t received sacraments we will help you prepare them to receive.

Middle and High School Confirmation Prep*
(Two Year Preparation)

YEAR 1 (7th grade)

  • Meet twice a month on Monday evenings, 6:00-7:30 pm in the Hall of Saints
  • Large group
  • Small group
  • Complete 7th grade materials
  • Complete all other expectations of year 1 prep.

YEAR 2 (8th grade)

  • Meet twice a month on Monday evenings, 6:00 – 8:00 pm in Parish Center
  • Large group
  • Small group
  • Complete 8th grade materials
  • Complete all other expectations of year 2 prep.

High Schoolers
For high school students who have completed year 1 and ready to continue their faith journey to prepare to receive their sacraments.

*Confirmation students also preparing for Baptism/First Communion will be given additional preparation.

Includes Youth Retreats and parent attendance for a few sessions (Confirmation sacramental fee is paid each year)
