Faith Formation Programs 2026-2027
Family Formation
Come with your whole family to a Family Fellowship Night, once a month on Wednesday from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. Grow in your faith together with other Mother Seton Families. All families with children are welcome. If your child needs Baptism, First Communion, and/or Confirmation, please register for the appropriate Sacrament prep program.
First Communion Prep Year 1
Once a month, parents and children have in person sessions, and a monthly home packet is provided to be completed at home. Monday 5:30 -7:00 PM: Ages 6-11. For the baptized, or unbaptized children who missed 2nd grade First Communion.
First Communion Prep Year 2
Once a month, parents and children have sessions, with monthly home lessons. Monday 5:30-7:00 PM. For students who completed First Communion Prep Year 1.
Adaptive Needs (1-12)
Our program for students who need a style of faith formation adapted to their learning, developmental, or physical needs. Meets twice a month on Wednesday 5:30 – 7:00 PM. Complete the supplementalAdaptive needs registration form.
Confirmation Prep Year 1
Youth meet twice a month on Mondays from 6:00-7:30 PM in the Hall of Saints. Preparation includes Youth Retreats and parent attendance for a few sessions. (Confirmation sacramental fee is paid each year)
Confirmation Prep Year 2
Youth meet twice a month on Mondays from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Parish Center. Preparation includes Youth Retreats and parent attendance for a few sessions. (Confirmation sacramental fee is paid each year)
Middle and High School Confirmation Prep (Two Year Preparation)
Youth meet twice a month on Mondays Year 1: 6:00-7:30 PM in the Hall of Saints. Year 2: 6:00-8:00 PM in the Parish Center Includes Youth Retreats and parent attendance for a few sessions (Confirmation sacramental fee is paid each year)
OCIC Middle and High School Additional Sacramental Prep
For the unbaptized youth and/or youth who missed First Communion and/or 8 th -grade Confirmation. Youth meet twice a month on Wednesdays 5:30–7:00 PM in the Hall of Saints. IN ADDITION to the Monday evening Confirmation Prep sessions. Additional sessions are required in the year they receive the sacraments.

The 2020-21 faith formation year will include sessions offered through an online platform. This activity will take place under the guidance and direction of parish employees and/or volunteers who are subject to the Archdiocese of Washington’s Child Protection and Safe Environment Policy. I will be notified of the sessions and how they will be conducted, including registration links should I want to be present with my child. I understand that, as parent and/or legal guardian, I remain legally responsible for any actions taken by my child (listed below as “participant”). My child agrees to abide by all rules and regulations outlined for participation in the program, including all rules and regulations outlined for any online session(s).

I understand and agree that the Office for Catechesis and the Archdiocese of Washington will not be held liable if my child fails to cooperate with said regulations and that any infractions of the rules may result in immediate dismissal from the activity.
