A Year of Stewardship
Dear Mother Seton Parishioners,
As we prepare to celebrate the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord and enter Ordinary Time, we are reminded that God’s gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, calls us into a life of generosity, gratitude, and service. Just as Jesus began His public ministry through baptism, we too are invited to live fully into the gifts God has entrusted to us—our time, talents, and resources—for the good of others and the building up of His Church.
At Mother Seton Parish, 2026 is a year to focus intentionally on stewardship. Stewardship begins with gratitude—recognizing that all we have is a gift from God. Our lives, our abilities, and our resources are entrusted to us so that we can share God’s love with family, neighbors, and our parish community. Stewardship is not a program or obligation; it is a way of life, rooted in gratitude and expressed through generosity.
We often underestimate what we have to offer. Yet each of us has been blessed in unique ways, and every moment of our lives is an opportunity to share God’s transforming love. Every act of generosity, big or small, reflects Christ’s presence in our community.
Organizing Stewardship within Parish Life
To guide reflection on stewardship in 2026, we will organize our parish ministries around four dimensions of parish life: Worship, Education, Community, and Outreach. These dimensions help us see how Christ reaches through us to connect with each other and our wider community:
- Christ Prayed – Worship: Our liturgy, sacraments, and devotional life draw us closer to God and strengthen our parish life. Just as Christ’s ministry flowed from His intimate relationship with the Father, our worship grounds and guides all that we do.
- Christ Taught – Education: Faith formation at every age helps us grow in understanding, love, and discipleship.
- Christ Gathered – Community: Building a strong parish community means involving all members in parish life and welcoming those who may be distant from the Church.
- Christ Served – Outreach: Serving the poor and needy in our parish and community reflects Christ’s life of compassionate action.
January Survey – Focus on Worship
This month, we invite you to share your reflections specifically on Worship—our liturgy, sacraments, and devotional life. Your feedback will help us strengthen this vital dimension of parish life and ensure that our worship draws all of us closer to God and to one another.
Surveys for the other dimensions—Education, Community, and Outreach—will follow throughout the year, providing additional opportunities to reflect on how your gifts can support and strengthen parish life.
May this year in Ordinary Time be a time of growth and renewal for Mother Seton Parish—a year guided by gratitude, hope, and lives of generous stewardship.

Al celebrar el Bautismo del Señor y entrar en el Tiempo Ordinario, recordamos que el don de Dios en Su Hijo nos llama a la generosidad, la gratitud y el servicio. En Parroquia Madre Seton, 2026 es un año para enfocarnos en la mayordomía, reconociendo que todo lo que tenemos—nuestro tiempo, talentos y recursos—es un regalo de Dios. La mayordomía no es una obligación, sino un estilo de vida compartido en familia, parroquia y comunidad.
Este año organizamos la vida parroquial en cuatro dimensiones: Culto, Educación, Comunidad y Servicio, reflejando cómo Cristo se conecta con nosotros. En enero, los invitamos a compartir sus reflexiones, específicamente sobre el Culto—nuestra liturgia, sacramentos y vida devocional—, a través de una breve encuesta en línea. Las encuestas para las demás dimensiones vendrán después. Sus opiniones guiarán y fortalecerán los ministerios parroquiales, ayudándonos a crecer juntos en fe, gratitud y generosidad mientras vivimos la mayordomía en nuestra vida diaria.
En célébrant le Baptême du Seigneur et en entrant dans le Temps Ordinaire, nous rappelons que le don de Dieu en Son Fils nous appelle à la générosité, à la gratitude et au service. À la paroisse Mère Seton, 2026 sera une année pour se concentrer sur la gestion des dons (stewardship), en reconnaissant que tout ce que nous avons—notre temps, nos talents et nos ressources—est un don de Dieu. La gestion des dons n’est pas une obligation, mais un mode de vie partagé en famille, à la paroisse et dans la communauté.
Cette année, nous organisons la vie paroissiale autour de quatre dimensions : Culte, Éducation, Communauté et Service, reflétant comment le Christ se connecte à nous. En janvier, nous vous invitons à partager vos réflexions sur le Culte—la liturgie, les sacrements et la vie dévotionnelle—via un court sondage en ligne. Les autres dimensions feront l’objet de sondages ultérieurs. Vos retours aideront à renforcer les ministères paroissiaux et à grandir ensemble dans la foi, la gratitude et la générosité.

Quản lý ơn phúc không phải là nghĩa vụ, mà là cách sống được chia sẻ trong gia đình, giáo xứ và cộng đồng.
Năm nay, chúng ta tổ chức đời sống giáo xứ theo bốn chiều: Thờ Phượng, Giáo Dục, Cộng Đồng và Phục Vụ, phản ánh cách Chúa Kitô kết nối với chúng ta. Trong tháng Giêng, chúng tôi mời quý vị chia sẻ suy nghĩ về Thờ Phượng—thánh lễ, các bí tích và đời sống đạo đức—qua một khảo sát trực tuyến ngắn. Khảo sát cho các chiều khác sẽ theo sau. Ý kiến của quý vị sẽ giúp củng cố các mục vụ và cùng nhau lớn lên trong đức tin, lòng biết ơn và sự rộng lượng.
