We welcome back to Mother Seton Parish the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal from December 9-11, 2019

The Franciscan Friars of the Renewal The Franciscans of the Renewal were founded in 1987 in response to St. John Paul II’s call for the renewal of religious life. The friars are seeking to return to the primitive inspiration of St Francis who heard the call of Jesus, “Repair my House.” They participate in Christ’s renewal of all things with an emphasis on ongoing personal, communal, and ecclesial renewal. This takes place through their life of prayer, fraternity and mission. Apostolically their life is to live with and serve the materially poor as well as to preach the Holy Gospel wherever they may be sent.

Fall Parish Mission 2019

Fr. Philip Scott F.J. is the Founder of Family of Jesus the Healer, a community of priests, brothers and sisters who are praying to be healed and formed into a family by the Divine Family (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). They pray to live out in a prophetic manner their baptismal calling to follow Jesus Christ and be His instruments of healing for families; both the individual domestic family, and also the broader family of the Church and society. Fr. Philip has been to Ireland on numerous occasions in the past including a men’s retreat in 2017 and a couples retreat in 2018. This coming May he will give two Retreats at the Emmaus Centre Swords, one for Priests and one for Married and Engaged Couples.
